3. Purposes of processing personal data

We process personal data only where it is needed for our services, legal obligations, security or your consent:

  • To prepare, issue, update, recover and deliver insurance policies through partner insurers, Unison/TPL issuing tools and support operators.
  • To process payments, payment confirmations, refunds and accounting records through available providers such as Keepz, PayPal, bank transfer and other payment methods shown at checkout.
  • To deliver purchased add-ons, including Cellfie eSIM QR images and activation code text, and to keep a record of issued digital products.
  • To contact you about an active, pending, failed or unfinished order by email, SMS, phone, WhatsApp, Telegram or operator follow-up when this is necessary to complete the service or resolve a problem.
  • To improve the website, measure advertising performance, prevent attribution errors and upload server-side or offline conversions to advertising platforms where applicable.
  • To prevent fraud, protect the website and admin panel, comply with Georgian law, maintain accounting records and respond to lawful requests from competent authorities.

We do not sell personal data. Marketing messages are sent only where the law allows it or where you have consented. Operational messages about your order, payment, policy, add-on or support request are not treated as promotional spam.

4. Transfer of data to third parties

We share personal data only when it is necessary to provide the service, process payment, deliver communications, protect the system or comply with the law:

  • Insurance partners and issuing systems, including insurers, Unison and TPL-related tools, for quotation, policy issue, correction, PDF retrieval and policy-support context.

  • Analytics and advertising platforms, including Google, Meta, Yandex, Microsoft Clarity and Ahrefs, to measure traffic, conversions and campaign performance in accordance with your consent settings and applicable law.
  • Technology and infrastructure providers, including hosting, database, Cloudflare/security, logging and backup services used to keep the website and admin panel secure and available.
  • Add-on providers, including Cellfie for eSIM-related product delivery and support.
  • Public authorities, courts, regulators or law-enforcement bodies where disclosure is required by law or a valid official request.

GeoCover does not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

5. Data storage and protection

We protect personal data with technical and organizational measures such as HTTPS/TLS transmission, role-based admin access, server access controls, backups, logging and limited access for authorized operators only.

Data is kept only as long as needed for the relevant purpose: order and accounting records for legal/accounting periods, policy and PDF records for customer support and insurer reconciliation, recovery drafts for a limited follow-up period, and technical/analytics data according to cookie and platform retention settings.

6. Cookies, analytics and advertising tags

The website uses necessary cookies and local storage for core functions such as language selection, order progress, attribution preservation, payment return handling and security.

Analytics and marketing technologies may include Google Analytics/Ads/GTM, Meta Pixel/Conversions API, Yandex Metrica/Direct, Microsoft Clarity and Ahrefs Web Analytics. You can accept, reject or customize analytics and marketing cookies in the cookie banner. Rejecting non-essential cookies should not prevent you from buying insurance.

7. User rights

Subject to applicable Georgian data-protection law, you may exercise the following rights:

  • Request information about the personal data we process and the purposes of processing.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data, including order, contact or passport details before issuing where correction is still possible.
  • Request deletion or restriction of processing where the law allows it and where retention is not required for an active policy, payment, accounting or legal obligation.
  • Withdraw consent for consent-based processing. Withdrawal does not affect processing already performed before withdrawal or processing required to provide a service you requested.
  • Object to marketing communications and request that we stop promotional contact.
  • File a complaint with the competent Georgian personal-data protection authority if you believe your rights were violated.

To exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected] or +995 577 08 25 25. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on the request.

8. Links to third-party resources

The website may link to insurer, payment, eSIM, official-source, WhatsApp, Telegram or other third-party websites. Their content, security and privacy practices are controlled by those providers.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers, legal obligations or technical systems change. The updated version is effective from publication on the website, unless a different date is stated.
